TCB
Trichlorobenzene
Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) is often used to determine average molecular weight in polyolefins. Samples of polymer/rubber need to be dissolved in aggressive solvents prior to analysis. Trichlorobenzene (TCB) and hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) are commonly used for this purpose.
Save on the expensive costs of buying and disposing of these solvents. The B/R 9600 spinning band solvent recycler recovers TCB, HFIP, NMP, and THF back to their original purity (99.9% specified).

Many companies are already using the B/R 9600 solvent recycler to recycle these solvents back to their original purity. The 9600 uses a spinning band column with glass and Teflon contact surfaces, suited to aggressive GPC solvents.
